The Expanding Your Horizons Conference is an event held each fall on the USA campus. Its goal is to get girls in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades "re-interested" in science, mathematics, and engineering.

The girls (and, in many cases, their parents) come to campus, where they participate in "hands-on" activities and demonstrations in science and engineering. These activities are led by University faculty and staff from many departments, including the Chemistry Department; in our case, members of the ACS Student Affiliates frequently assist.
