It
is required by some colleges and recommended
by the others that students meet with their
academic advisor each semester, or on some regular
basis, to discuss their academic plans and upcoming
course selections. Two weeks during the Fall
and Spring Semesters, as well as one week during
the Summer Semester, are designated as "Advising
Weeks". However, advising may occur throughout
the term.

When
a student changes his program/major from one
college to another, the new department will
end any advising holds placed on the student's
record and remove any previous advisors assigned
to the student. New advisors will be assigned
and, if applicable, a new advising hold will
be placed on the student's record.
