To
complete a bachelor's degree in four years (eight
semesters), students should plan to attempt
at least 16 semester hours
each term. Most courses are worth 3 semester
hours, unless the course has a lab required
with it or meets for a longer period of time
each term.

|
Many
students work either part-time or full-time,
and should adjust their course loads accordingly.
Summer Semester is also an optional time for
satisfying requirements if a student cannot
carry a normal course load during the Fall and
Spring Semesters.
|
|
|
Credit
Hour Limitations -
Students on academic probation are restricted
to 13 semester hours per semester. Students
admitted into the Developmental Studies
Program are restricted to 14 semester hours
each term until they have completed all DS requirements.
Undergraduate students are limited to
19 semester hours each term, and graduate
students are limited to 10 credit hours.
Exceptions to these limits may be made with
permission of the student's dean and the override
is processed by the Registrar's Office.

Full-time/Part-time
- Undergraduate
students enrolled in 12 or more semester
hours are full-time, 6-11 hours = half-time,
and 1-5 hours = less than half-time. Graduate
students enrolled in 6 or more semester
hours are full-time, 3-5 hours = half-time,
and 1-2 hours = less than half-time. Note:
Scholarship students must take a minimum of
15 semester hours each term.
