Late Drops or Withdrawals

Decisions to approve a late drop or withdrawal are made by the student's academic dean. Normally, exceptions are made only when there are extenuating circumstances beyond the student's control, such as a medical emergency, where excessive classes have been missed, and the course cannot be completed successfully. Documentation from a physician or other agent should be obtained.

Retroactive Drops or Withdrawals - The academic dean should submit a written request to the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs asking for approval of any retroactive drop or withdrawal. This request should explain the rationale for such a decision and have attached supporting documentation.
