Course Policies
Special Course Credit
 
32 Hour Limit - A maximum total of 32 semester hours will be allowed for credit received through any combination of the Advanced Placement (AP), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), International Baccalaureate (IB), credit by exam, correspondence courses, military service school courses, or other approved non-collegiate-sponsored programs as recommended by the American Council on Education.
 
Advanced Placement (AP) Credit

A score of "3" or higher is required to receive credit (Note: Effective Spring 2005, AP credit will be awarded for EH 101 with a score of "4" or higher. This is a change from the policy which provided for 6 credits for EH 101 and 102 with a score of "3" or higher.)
Official scores from the College Entrance Examination Board are required

College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
Official scores from the CLEP division of the Educational Testing Service required
Certain Subject Examinations are accepted (minimum score required varies)

International Baccalaureate (IB)
New Policy: Effective Summer 2004, credit for approved USA courses will be granted to students with a score of five (5) or higher on IB program exams. Individual academic disciplines may require a higher score in a particular course.

Credit by Examination
USA students may take examination in a particular subject area with approval
Forms obtained from the Registrar's Office
$30 fee, plus the current course fee per hour of credit
Equivalent hours attempted will be included in determining the student's GPA
 
Military Service School Courses
Students should obtain a form from either the Admissions (if new student) or Registrar's Office (if currently enrolled)
Attach a certificate of completion of the military course
A determination will be made if college credit is recommended and can be awarded
 
Non-Collegiate-Sponsored Programs
Students should obtain a form from either the Admissions (if new student) or Registrar's Office (if currently enrolled )
Attach a certificate of completion of the course
A determination will be made if college credit is recommended and can be awarded
