Course Selection
STARS (Statewide Articulation)
The Statewide Articulation Reporting System (STARS) is an information link between Alabama's two-year and four-year public institutions. It provides two-year school students with general education course requirements and course equivalents as they plan to transfer to a four-year college or university. The statewide general studies (core) curriculum began Fall 1998.
Prospective USA students, transferring from an Alabama community college, can access http://stars.troy.edu/ to check on the requirements for a particular major at USA. The AGSC (Alabama Articulation and General Studies Committee) Transfer Guide may be printed and used as a guideline regarding these requirements. A Transfer Agreement guarantees transferability of course work if the student has not changed his/her major. An additional Area V page at USA's web site for transfer students must be printed and is an addendum to the Transfer Agreement.
