*** EYH/GEMS ***
One of our biggest service activities for this semester is the Girls Exploring Math and Science (GEMS) conference (formerly Expanding Your Horizons). The event is this Saturday, October 13th. Close to 400 girls will be arriving so we are asking for as much help as possible. Shifts are from 7AM to 11AM, 8AM to 12PM, and 12PM to 4PM. Once you arrive, please go to the SGA office on the second floor of the Student Center to check in and then again to check out after your shift. If you signed up to work a workshop, please come about 30 minutes before the workshop actually starts to find out what you will be doing. An email with the workshop assignments will be sent out soon. Other than that, t-shirts and lunches will be given out to volunteers. We just ask that you wait until the girls get their lunches and shirts first. There should be enough of both, but we just want to be sure. If food does run out, we'll order pizza. If you have an questions or comments, please let Sonia Savani know.

You can have one done for $5 at the Student Health Center or for free at Odyssey (locations are either off Water Street or in Tillaman's Corner).

*** Gift of the Month ***
AED's Gift of the Month for Spetember will be going to the Penelope Closet. The Penelope Closet is a store that raises money for battered women and their children. Any type of household item that can get a family started off (clothes, kitchenware, ...) would be greatly appreciated. They accept both new and used items, so please make an effort to donate. This will count as a 1 "other" credit.
