FAQs: Frequently Asked Questions
Who are we?

We are an organization catering to the needs of pre-medical, pre-dental, pre-veterinary, and pre-optometry students.

What do we offer to our members?

We offer many activities and opportunities to students in our organization.  We participate in campus activities such as Homecoming and Oozeball.  We are involved in volunteer activities within  the community such as breakfast for the homeless and the annual AED Halloween party at the Penelope House.  There are also intramural teams and committees within the organization that members can join.  We have informative speakers at each meeting representing the different areas of health care that may be interesting to our members.   These are just a few examples of the speakers we will have the coming year: Mark Scott (Director of Admissions to USA College of Medicine); Dr. Andrew Duke (Veterinarian); USA Medical School Student Panel; UAB College of Medicine; UAB Optometry School; and UAB Dental School.  We hope to provide our members with enjoyable activities as well as useful information to help them in their future endeavors.

When do we meet?

The meeting are held on Thursday nights at 7:00 p.m.  We meet every other week.  Look for fliers around campus announcing meeting times and scheduled speakers.

Where do we meet?

We meet in the USA College of Medicine Auditorium on the first floor of USA College of Medicine.

How do you join?

Just come to our meetings.  It's as easy as that!
