Biography

Dr. William B. Davis, Professor of Biomedical Sciences, joined the faculty at the University of South Alabama in 1974 following doctoral and postdoctoral training in microbiology at the University of Mississippi and St. Louis University.  In addition to his appointment in the College of Allied Health Professions, Dr. Davis is also a member of the faculty of the College of Medicine in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology.

Research Interests

Dr. Davis' research interests include the role of antibody responses to viral infections of Herpes simplex virus.

Honors

Dr. Davis received the USA Alumni Distinguished Scholar of the Year Award
