Mauvilla Mansion (471787 bytes)

This house, known as Mauvilla Mansion, was built in 1871 by Duncan T. Parker, a cotton factor, who kept the property until 1888. For many years thereafter, rooms in the house were let to boarders. It remained vacant for a number of years after it ceased to be a rooming house. Today it serves as a bed and breakfast.
