gallery... All of the images in this gallery were taken by Thomas E. Armitstead, who seems to have been working for the land development department of the Mobile & Ohio Railroad and was in the Mobile area only a short time. Thus, all of these images are from 1895. Please see the Armitstead gallery for more of his images. This image shows the West Ward School, which was located on Springhill Avenue, just east of Ann Street. Negative: A-57 |
