Biographical Note
Michael V. R. Thomason was born in West Palm Beach, Florida, in 1942. He
earned his Ph.D. degree in history from Duke University and taught in the history
department of the University of South Alabama from 1970 through 2006. From 2000 to 2002,
Thomason served on the board of the USA Foundation and played an important role in the
settlement of the dispute over the Grants Pass area between the university and the
state of Alabama.
Scope and Content
Consists of documents relating to the Grant's Pass dispute, as well as other
material about the Foundation including minutes, correspondence, legal papers,
newsclippings, and financial records.
