Many of today's conflicts are fought in chaotic and complex environments against enemies that do not use always traditional tactics.  The modern battlefield requires officers who are flexible, adaptive, agile, creative, and strong critical thinkers--officers that embody the warrior ethos and the values of the United States of America.  If you are up to the challenge then South Alabama ROTC is for you.

As an Army officer, you will serve in either the United States Active Army, Army Reserves, or National Guard.  Army ROTC is part of an academic program designed to challenge students to develop responsibility, self-confidence, and leadership abilities necessary for success, both in the military and in the civilian sector.  Qualified cadets have the opportunity to attend U.S. Army Airborne, Air Assault, Northern Warfare, and Mountain Warfare Schools in the summer.

Army ROTC provides students a wide range of experiences while working toward a degree. You will combine classroom time with hands-on experience, learning skills that are sure to give you an edge over your peers when it comes time to compete in today's job market. Whether you are planning a career in the Army or the corporate world, Army ROTC teaches you how to be a leader and is a smart elective course to take.

Being an officer in the United States Army is a privilege and an honor.

Do you have what it takes to lead the Soldiers of the best Army in the world?
