The formal listing for the Department of Economics is located
in the College of Business and Management Studies. Those students in Arts and Sciences
majoring in economics must complete a minimum of 48 quarter hours including the following:
ECO 214, 215 Principles of Economics I, II
ECO 315 Intermediate Microeconomics
ECO 316 Intermediate Macroeconomics
ECO 340 Money and Banking
ECO 491 History of Economic Thought
ST 175 Basic Statistics or equivalent
and, at least twenty hours of upper-level economics electives, 301
or above.
Those students minoring in economics must complete a minimum of 28
hours in economics courses including ECO 214, 215, 315, 316, and at least twelve hours of
upper-level economics electives.
