Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., is the oldest national Greek-letter sorority for black women. The purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is to "cultivate and encourage high scholastic and alleviate problems concerning girls and women, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of service to all mankind."

Epsilon Upsilon Chapter at USA has won awards through Panhellenic and NPHC and annually sponsors a week of service and philanthropy through the community. The women of AKA are active in SGA, the Freshman Activities Board (FAB), NPHC council, the African American Students Association, and more. Scholarship, service, and involvement are foremost for our members

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., is a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide services and programs to promote human welfare. It is a sisterhood of more than 185,000 predominately black college educated women. Currently, the Sorority have over 850 chapters located in the United States, Japan, Germany, the Bahamas, and the Republic of Korea.

The major programs of the Sorority are based upon the organization's Five Point Thrust. They are Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health and Political Awareness and Involvement. Deltas are number one in scholarship.

The five founders of Zeta Phi Beta were encouraged by members of Phi Beta Sigma fraternity who felt the need to have a sister organization. Thus Zeta Phi Beta and Phi Beta Sigma are the only true brother/sister organizations among National Pan-Hellenic Conference groups.

The purpose of the sorority is to foster sisterly love, scholarship, finer womanhood, and service. The sorority has chapters throughout the United States, Africa, and the Caribbean. They sponsor ongoing activities such as Storks Nest to assist disadvantaged mothers, tutoring programs, day care centers, and scholarship opportunities. All facets of the community are touched by the work of the women at Zeta Phi Beta and in USA's Delta Lambda Chapter.

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is the only African-American sorority of the Divine Nine not founded at Howard University by young educators dedicated to serving our youth. "Greater Service, Greater Progress" is our motto which is reflected in the work we do and lives we touch daily. Courage, determination and the strength of seven young founders has grown into an international sisterhood of thousands of women of all races and creeds that come together in love to make a change in every community in which they live.
