Welcome to the Catholic Student Association!
The Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Student Center opened its new facility on January 30, 2003 at a Solemn Mass celebrated by Archbishop Emeritus Oscar H. Lipscomb wherein he consecrated the Altar and Chapel for sacred worship. On July 17, 2003 Archbishop Emeritus Oscar Lipscomb appointed Rev. Fr. Alejandro E. Valladares as full-time Campus Minister. He continues today as Campus Minister.
Known on campus as the CSA, an acronym for Catholic Student Association, we were founded in 1964. We have had a long tradition of providing faith and fraternity to the Catholic student population at USA. Today, the student center has become a place for worship, prayer, and collegiate fraternity. Located across the University Campus at 6051 Old Shell Road, we are within walking distance of everything the University offers.
We invite all Catholic students to sign up and become members of our association and to participate in our faith-based community. With praise, worship, and prayer as basis of all we do, we have daily activities and special events which include canoeing, retreats, pilgrimages, and a hiking trip to the mountains.
