Youth Mental Health First Aid - USA - March 2015

Youth Mental Health First Aid USA is an 8 hour public education program which introduces participants to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents, builds understanding of the importance of early intervention, and teaches individuals how to help an adolescent in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge.

Boat house Buddies - 2013

"On April 22 and 23, 2013 in conjunction with Earth Day and the third year anniversary of the Deepwater Horizon Oil spill the Center sponsored three presentations for third graders in several Baldwin County Public Schools. The presentations were led by Center staff and Ms. Ilene Baskette, one of the authors of “The Boat House Buddies Deal with the Oil Spill” 10-part book series. The presentations reached 174 students (83 females and 91 males), nine third grade teachers, and three librarians.
