  • Services: Temporary Shelter Service for Women and Children. The Salvation Army's Center for Women and Children provides emergency housing for women and children who are without a home. Women living in the shelter receive two meals a day, a bed for each family member, clothing and transportation assistance, parenting classes and job preparation skills. To be eligible for assistance and in order to reside in The Salvation Army's Center, a woman must meet the following criteria:
    • Be at least 19 years of age or turning 19 within thirty days.
    • Have no drug or alcohol problem.
    • Be stabilized on medication if being treated for any type of mental illness.
    • PLEASE NOTE: Possession of drugs, alcoholic beverages, and/or weapons is NOT permitted on Salvation Army property.
