All faculty,
staff, and students in the University of
South Alabama's Instructional Design & Development program are
expected to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct at
all times. Maintaining a high standard of professional conduct
fosters
a collegial, effective learning environment, develops skills that are
vital to success in any field, and helps to enhance the reputation of
the IDD program and all those associated with it. The standards
for
professional conduct require that all members of the University of
South Alabama, Instructional Design & Development Program will:
- Complete all assignments on time and to the highest
possible
level of quality
- Avoid academic misconduct, illegal activities, or other
unethical or immoral practices
- Treat all colleagues with respect, dignity, and
courteousness
- Proactively encourage, support, and mentor
colleagues to
help them achieve personal and professional success
- Display a positive, cooperative, and cordial attitude
- Be punctual, prepared, and appropriately attired for
classes, meetings, and other activities
- Refrain from inappropriate use of cell phones, PDAs, and
other technologies during classes and meetings
- Communicate in an articulate, educated, professional
manner,
both orally and in writing
- Avoid gossip and dissemination of private,
disparaging, or potentially
embarrassing information about others
- Avoid any other activities which may tend to bring
discredit to oneself, the
University of South Alabama, the College of Education, the
Instructional Design & Development program and the instructional
design field.
