Evaluation Plan / Report

What is it?
|
This assignment has two parts:
1) A plan for conducting formative evaluation of your instructional
package and
2) Detailed report of the results of the evaluation |

What goes in it?
|

Part I is a description of the summative and formative evaluation evaluation
plans
-
Who are you going to use in the evaluation? How are you going to contact
them? When are you going to do the 1 to 1 formative evaluation?
Where? What instruments are you going to use? How will the
evaluation actually be conducted? The same information is needed for the
small group formative evaluation and for the summative evaluation.
How are you going to account for informed consent, voluntary participation,
and confidentiality / anonymity in each phase?

Part I should be Very Specific, Include Contact Person(s) for each activity,
be in both Narrative and "Chart" Format, have deadlines, and include all
evaluation activities

Part II is a detailed discussion of 3 things
-
the results of the formative evaluation (in narrative and chart format)

a discussion of specific project activities based on the results of the
formative evaluation
-
results of the summative evaluation (in narrative and chart format)

When is it due?
|
The Plan is due June 26, 2002 at 5:30 pm and the Report is Due
July 17, 2002 at 5:30 pm

How much is it worth?
|
75 points out of 1000 for the course
7.5% of the final grade
(Each part is worth 37.5 points)

Comments

Writing up evaluation plans and reports is one of the most essential
skills of any instructional designer. The evaluation should be a
detailed and highly professional process - it is much more than is expected
of most evaluations in the IDD program where you talk to a few people and
write down what they say - it should be a meaningful activity that results
in significant improvements to your project
