USA College of Education - Online Education

Welcome to the College of Education Online. Our online programs offer an opportunity for quality education courses via the Internet.

The programs offer selected courses in several professional fields for students who cannot enroll in the traditional manner due to family, career, or location requirements. Courses are delivered using the computer technology and instructional methodology that is current and appropriate to the 21st Century. In addition to fully online courses and programs, all academic courses in the college have a web component.

The College offers the following graduate level programs: Education Leadership, English for Speakers of Other Languages, Instructional Design and Development, Educational Media (Library Media), Reading Education, Special Education and Teacher Leader. Additionally courses are offered in Elementary Education, and Secondary Education. Alabama Class A certification is available in all of the above except Instructional Design and Development and Teacher Leader. The Class AA certification is available for the Teacher Leader and Reading Teacher.

Our online system will provide the opportunity for continuous contact with the course instructor, chat sessions with classmates, threaded discussions, direct access to the University Library and other instructional resources, and online examinations.

The current available technology allows us to offer quality, affordable courses that complement our resident programs. All online courses are taught by the graduate faculty of the College of Education and utilize the same instructional resources that are used in the on-campus programs. We are confident that you will find the programs interesting, challenging, and rewarding.
