The student teaching dates are for the duration of the University's current semester timeframe. You will be informed of the specific begin and end dates in your assignment letter.

Once you have received the assignment letter, you should contact the school regarding the morning arrival time. Due to the different schedules of the schools the arrival time can vary.

Some schools may require you to sign in at the school's office every day. It is good policy to ask for the school's official Handbook for reference.

Each student teacher will be required to keep an attendance record that will be provided at Orientation. The attendance record should be kept up-to-date on a daily basis and turned in to your Academic Department or University Supervisor on the last day of the student teaching experience.

Should you become ill or unable to attend school for any reason you should report the absence to the Cooperating Teacher and University Supervisor immediately. You will follow your assigned school's calendar during the placement period not the University's calendar for holidays or spring break dates.
