Annual High School Public Speaking Contest

The annual USA High School Public Speaking Contest!

The University of South Alabama's Department of Communication is sponsoring the annual High School Public Speaking Contest on Thursday, April 27. This event is held at the university's Student Center. Students in grades 9-12 are eligible to enter the contest. Each student is asked to prepare a persuasive speech on the 2017 theme,  Advocate: What is a cause I would like to fight for or already support?

The High School Public Speaking Contest is an excellent opportunity for students to receive experience and recognition for their public speaking skills. In addition, students receive feedback from college professors, communication department alumni and community representatives.
