HTM Summit

Summit Background and Purpose

The purpose of the summit is to engage major stakeholders in a continuous conversation about our industry workforce challenges and demonstrate results from needs identified in the previous summit.  The 2018 Summit will provide participants with insights to the state of our industry’s employment and a progress report on accomplishments and innovative solutions implemented. As a direct outcome of the past summit, this year’s summit will focus on Southern Hospitality.

Cancellation Policy
To cancel your registration, please call (251) 460-7200 between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday - Friday.

The deadline to cancel is February 23, 2017. A 50% refund will be issued for any cancellations prior to or on Feb 23, 2017. Refunds will not be issued on or after February 24th (seven business days prior to event).

Participants will be guided to share (1) what they know and have; (2) pressing issues & challenges (current & near future); and (3) what they don’t know or don’t have but need. Questions would include access to employment landscape and workforce profile data, hospitality and tourism skills frameworks and maps, and workforce readiness of new entrants to the industry, resources for workforce, e.g. seasonal housing, etc. The goal of these concurrent sessions is to help each stakeholder group drill down common priorities and needs gaps. Results overview will be shared immediately after lunch.
