Rachel Smith

After graduating from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan with a Bachelor's in Marketing in 2006, Rachel started working at Google in Ann Arbor, Michigan on the AdWords Support Team. She spent the next nine years working in various roles in the online ads industry at Google ranging from AdWords pay-per-click sales, DoubleClick display ad consulting, YouTube video ad technical escalations, and third party ad serving global team management. Rachel currently lives in Chicago and works on Google Cloud as a Program Manager After a successful career in the tech industry, she's planning to retire in Mobile, Alabama because it's a beautiful place with a community of kind people. 

Marianne Loes

Marianne Loes

Mrs. Loes earned her BSBA from the University of South Alabama, where she majored in eCommerce and holds a MBA with a Marketing concentration from Auburn University. Her academic and practice interests lie where technology and business meet. Her teaching interests include Principles of Marketing, Integrated Marketing Communications, and Internet Marketing. Before joining the MCOB, she spent over ten years performing various roles in sales and marketing in the embedded software industry. In addition to her role as an instructor at MCOB, she is also a practitioner in sales and marketing as a contractor for various companies in multiple industries.

Shellie Teague

Shellie Teague

Shellie Teague is a longtime Mobile Bay resident and award-winning public relations and social media strategist. She received her degree in public relations from the University of South Alabama.

Through her own public relations agency, Teague Branding Strategies, she has worked with clients in various industries, including education, legal, healthcare, construction, home decorating, professional services, and retail. Her  client list includes the University of South Alabama, USA Health System, the Alabama Coastal Foundation, Mobile Arts Council, to name a few.

Shellie most recently accepted the position as Executive Director of the Mobile Arts Council. In this new role, she serves as the chief operating officer of the Mobile Arts Council, working closely with and reporting to, the President and the Board of Trustees. She is responsible for directing and implementing all media and public relations strategies, as well as carrying out the new five year strategic plan.
