MCOB Students Generously Donate School Supplies to Wilmer Hall

This past spring the MOCB Society for Human Resource Management coordinated an effort to collect school supplies for Wilmer Hall. Wilmer Hall is not only a facility where children reside if they can no longer live with their parents, but it is also an institution focused on building and improving the education of children of all ages and walks of life. This was an opportunity close to our hearts and we were determined to show our support to this long-standing Mobile legacy. We knew this was a place focused on helping children with their education, so collecting school supplies for a variety of ages and school systems seemed like the best way to lend a hand.

We shared information throughout the MCOB and the University as a whole. Students from all over campus, especially students in the MCOB, donated school supplies ranging from binders and colored pencils to gently used backpacks. We were grateful at the outpouring of support for what we were trying to accomplish and were lucky enough to end up with a van full of school supplies to take to Wilmer Hall. We were humbled by the excitement and gratefulness of the staff at Wilmer Hall when they received the surprise van-load of school supplies. For everyone that donated we say Thank you and you should know that your support was greatly appreciated. The donation was a complete success and we hope to do more like it this upcoming year!
