USA Opera Theatre, under the direction of Dr. Thomas L. Rowell, presents Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "The Abduction from the Seraglio" April 24, 25, and 26, 2015 (7:30, 7:30, and 3:00).

Classified as a singspiel and the subject that sparked the supposed famous exchange between Mozart and Emperor Joseph II, this operatic work will be sung in German (with English supertitles) and dialogue spoken in English.  Abduction from the Seraglio, while very much part of standard operatic repertoire, is not as often performed, and USA's production will be one of the only performances of the work in the Gulf Coast Region in recent history.

The production will feature the vocal talents of the USA Department of Music, and the USA Opera Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Robert Seebacher.
