USA's Department of Music welcomes the Canadian violinist Véronique Mathieu in a guest faculty recital September 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center.  The program will include the Partita and Subito by Witold Lutosławski.  An internationally acclaimed violinist, Mathieu performs regularly in prestigious venues throughout the world. This recital marks her first appearance on the Gulf Cost.  Currently Mathieu serves as the Assistant Professor of Violin at the University of Kansas.  She will be joined in this concert by pianist Jasmin Arakawa.
 
Tickets for this Department of Music event will be sold at the door only.  Admission is $8 general and $5 for USA faculty & staff, USA students, youths under 18 and all senior citizens (cash or check only).  Persons needing more information about this event or in need of special accommodation may call (251) 460-7116 or (251) 460-6136.
