USA's New Music Collective presents their Experimental Music Concert on Friday, December 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.  For this program, NMC composers have experimented with their traditional means of composing music. These experimental means include graphic score notation, use of extended techniques, non-traditional instruments, improvisation, and extra-musical media. It was left to the composers’ imaginations as to what defines the limits of experimental music.

The USA New Music Collective is a student-run ensemble of various vocalists and instrumentalists within USA’s Department of Music. The NMC’s purpose is to promote new and experimental music and to perform works composed by USA student composers.

Admission to this Department of Music concert is free and open to the public.  Persons needing more information about this event or in need of special accommodation may call (251) 460-7116 or (251) 460-6136.
