The Laidlaw Performing Arts Center will be the site of a two-piano faculty recital on January 25 at 7:30 p.m. USA faculty professors and pianists Dr. Jasmin Arakawa and Dr. Robert Holm will play pieces by Spanish and Russian composers.  The program begins with the three Andalusian Dances by Manuel Infante: Ritmo - music appropriate for a bullfight, Sentimento - dramatic, romantic and unpredictable, and Gracia: El Vito - upbeat and dance-like.  Also on the program is Sergei Rachmaninoff's First Suite for two pianos featuring descriptive music set to poetry by Russian poets and Lord Byron: Barcarolle, A Night for Love, Tears and Russian Easter.  The program concludes with Emmanuel Chabrier's familiar Espana.

Tickets for this Musical Arts Series event will be sold at the door only.  Admission is $8 general and $5 for USA faculty & staff, USA students, youths under 18 and all senior citizens (cash or check only).  Persons needing more information about this event or in need of special accommodation may call (251) 460-7116 or (251) 460-6136.
