Kip Franklin, Faculty Clarinet Recital March 5 at Laidlaw

New USA clarinet faculty member Kip Franklin, along with USA piano faculty Jasmin
Arakawa, will present a Faculty Clarinet Recital on Saturday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m.
in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. Dr. Franklin's program will include
the Johannes Brahms' Sonata No. 1 in F minor, one of the pinnacle works in the clarinet
repertoire. The concert will also feature music of Hungarian composer Leo Weiner,
as well as homages to Manuel de Falla and George Gershwin.
Tickets for this Department of Music event will be sold at the door only. Admission
is $8 general and $5 for USA faculty & staff, USA students, youths under 18 and all
senior citizens (cash or check only). Persons needing more information about this
