USA's Symphony Band and Wind Ensemble will join forces to present their annual Winter Band Concert on Tuesday, February 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.

Join Dr. Jason Rinehart and the Symphony Band as they take you on a musical journey around the world. Music that represents Ireland, England, America, Indonesia, and Spain are a few of the places to which you will be transported. Join us for this free trip around the world, with no need for extra air fare or frequent flyer miles!

The USA Wind Ensemble, conducted by Dr. William H. Petersen, will present three works symbolic of the wind band's diverse heritage. Their portion of the concert will open with John Philip Sousa's "King Cotton," one of the March King's most famous works. Following "King Cotton" the Wind Ensemble will travel to England to perform Gustav Holst's masterpiece "Hammersmith: Prelude and Scherzo." The concert will close with American composer Michael Daugherty's "Red Cape Tango" from his immensely popular Metropolis Symphony
