Medical Alumni Weekend check presentation for the
Medical Alumni Scholarship Fund. (L-R) Dr. Lamar
Duffy, President of the Executive Board, and Dr.
Samuel J. Strada, Interim Dean of the College of
Medicine.

Why is it Important?
Your pledge to the Medical Alumni Fund supports two vital aspects of our mission - to professionally promote our members and to enhance academic education. We seek financial support only from medical alumni graduates and not College of Medicine faculty or community resources. Your private
gift facilitates academic excellence in scholarship development and helps support ninety percent of all alumni and student sponsored activities.

How do I make a pledge to the Annual Fund?
1. When your pledge information arrives, make your check payable to the
USA Medical Alumni Association AF. We currently do not use credit card services.
2. Place the pledge card and check in the return envelope and mail. If your spouse's company has a matching gift program just include the appropriate forms. We do the rest!

When is the Annual Fund?
The campaign will start in August and will conclude the end of December. We have tried several different approaches in hopes of finding a time that would not interfere with other fund raising programs that frequently petition physicians (undergraduate schools, professional associations and charities). We have decided however, to merge the Medical Fund and Membership Program, so that you only have to write one check - once a year.

We have told you numerous times, but good news stands repeating! Your gift is doubled by the College of Medicine's matching gift program for our alumni scholarship endowment fund. We are a non-profit organization and all gifts are tax deductible.

General Membership - $50
Lifetime Membership - $500

Membership in the Medical Alumni Association – Who, What and Why?
