Uninstall all non-Symantec AntiVirus products
Click the "Start" button

Select "Control Panel"

Double click on the "Add/Remove Programs" icon

Click the"Change or Remove Progams" button on
the side of the window
-
In the list of currently installed programs select the program to uninstall and click the "Add/Remove" button.
One or more of these programs may be installed. It is VERY important that you remove all non-Symantec AntiVirus products or the installation may not work.

Restart the PC

For Windows XP systems Verify that the TCP/IP DNS suffix is set
properly

- In the list of the various types of components select
the one that says TCP/IP and click the "Properties" button
to open the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties".
- If "Obtain an IP address automatically" is selected stop here. Otherwise, click the "Advanced" button. If the "DNS" tab
is not active, select it. You should see something similar
to the image below.

- Check that the "Append these DNS Suffixes" radio
button is selected and that "usouthal.edu" is included in
the DNS Suffix list. If it is not there, add it by doing
the following:

For Windows Vista systems Verify that the TCP/IP DNS suffix is set
properly
