Windows 10 has arrived!
Microsoft released its latest OS, Windows 10 on July 29, 2015. The Computer Services Center (CSC) has tested some of the applications most used on the USA campus and have found the following to work with Windows 10 Professional:
Applications that have been tested and approved by the CSC:
- MS Office 2013
- Web browsing via Internet Explorer, Edge (Windows 10), Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome
- USA JagMail
- Adobe Professional 11
- USA VPN access
Vendors that say they are Windows 10 compatible (not tested by the CSC):
- Word Perfect X7 (older versions are not supported)
Health System employees - or other University employees using Health System applications - are advised at this time not to upgrade to Windows 10 on either existing or new computers. Many applications in use by the Health System are known to be incompatible with Windows 8 or later versions, including 10. Please contact the Health System IT support staff if you have a specific need relating to Windows 10
Please review this site periodically. We will update this list as we become aware of the compatibility of other software.
