▼   Health Care Costs

Because of the high cost of health care in the United States, all students must have a University-approved health and accident insurance policy. Proof of your insurance must be provided at registration or you will be charged for the University insurance policy.  Students pay for the insurance at the beginning of the term as follows:

Fall 2017 $807 (covers the student for term one and term two)
Fall 2017 Term One $483
Fall 2017 Term Two $483
Spring 2018 $797 (covers the student for term one and term two)
Spring 2018 Term One $483
Spring 2018 Term Two $483
Summer 2018 $322

A student infirmary is located on campus to provide health care for any illness, injury, or health problem. Students must pay a fee of $30 for use of the Student Health Clinic.

New students are required to take a TB (tuberculosis) test at a cost of $112, which most insurance companies will cover. They must also pay $126 for two MMR vaccinations (mumps, measles, and rubella).

All international students and all students living in the residence halls are required to provide proof of immunization for bacterial meningitis. The vaccine is available at the Student Health Center at a cost of $138, which most insurance companies will cover. If students wish to be exempted, they must bring official proof from a doctor showing dates, number and the types of injections. In some cases a chest X-ray is required .
