SouthFlex - Flexible Spending Account Plans

Enrollment Information

In 2018, Health Equity Inc. (BCBS) and Discovery Benefits (VIVA) will provide claims administration for SouthFlex Flexible Spending Accounts. We will also continue to offer the Visa® Reimbursement Account Debit Card. When you incur a qualified medical expense, you will be able to pay with the HealthEquity® Visa® Reimbursement Account Card or submit the expense through the online tool for reimbursement. It is important to remember to save all receipts as you will need them for reimbursements and to possibly validate your expenses.

In order to participate in SouthFlex, you must enroll each year.  Even if you are currently enrolled in SouthFlex, you must submit a new enrollment form to participate in the 2018 plan year. The deadline to enroll is Thursday, November 30, 2017.

The maximum dollar limitation on voluntary employee salary reductions for contributions to Health care flexible spending accounts for 2018 is $2,650.

The Maximum annual employee salary reduction contribution allowed for the Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account remains at $5,000 or $2,500 for married taxpayers filing separate returns.


Forms may be submitted by postal mail, e-mail or by hand delivery. You may scan and e-mail the completed enrollment form to Forms will not be accepted by facsimile. If you submit your form by e-mail, it is not necessary to return the original form. Participants will receive a confirmation letter that the enrollment application has been processed and a welcome kit for new participants.
