Regina George Named Director of Immigration and Intl. Admissions

Ms. Regina George has been named director of the new Office of Immigration and International Admissions at the University of South Alabama. This appointment is effective as of the Spring 2017 semester. The Office of Immigration and International Admissions integration and reorganization is part of the newly created “Global USA” division. As director, Ms. George will oversee all international student admissions as well as ensure immigration compliance for both international students and visiting scholars.
Ms. George was previously the Manager of Immigration and International Affairs for the University. In addition, she has worked in international education at The University of Mississippi, University of South Florida and The University of Southern Mississippi. She has also served in several leadership positions with NAFSA: Association of International Educators which is the premier international education organization.
“Regina has a very thorough knowledge of SEVP regulations and policies. She will be able to not only maintain immigration compliance for the University, but also to help ensure the correct admissions processes for the welfare of our international students. I am very happy Regina is part of Global USA and believe the new Office of Immigration and International Admissions is in good hands,” stated Dr. Rick Carter, AVP for Global USA.
