We are really looking forward to welcoming all of you to the 7th South Alabama Conference on Teaching and Learning.
Registration starts at 8 a.m. on Monday May 8th at the USA Student Center. The latest program is available online at: http://southalabama.edu/departments/ilc/cotl-agenda.html
Come early to park and have some breakfast munchies and coffee before the morning plenary session starts at 8:30!
Park by the Humanities Building is best due to some construction you may encounter near the Student Center. Entering the campus from University Boulevard would be your best bet (near the intersection of Old Shell Road and University Blvd.).
Some rooms tend to be cold, so bring a light jacket or sweater so you are comfortable.
Presenters: Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the 1 hour block that your session is in so that you can be sure to load your presentation, set up your panel with chairs or whatever else might be needed. Red lanyard wearing ILC staff will be around to assist you. You have 18 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes to allow Q&A and change over to the next presenter. Each session with multiple presenters will have a Chair who will act as time keeper.
Attendees: We recommend that you stay in a session for the entire 1 hour block if possible. It will be difficult to change rooms in between presentations. Break times are the best times to change rooms.
Poster Session: Will be 3-4 p.m. on Monday afternoon in the Terrace Room. There will be an opportunity to provide written feedback (through a form) to poster presenters. Special afternoon snacks will be available in that room :-)
Vendor Presentations: Several of our commercial sponsors will have separate sessions highlighting their products on Tuesday afternoon. These details will be in your conference materials and at the vendor booths.
You can earn a digital badge (a micro-credential) as a Presenter OR an Attendee. Details will be in your conference bag and are also available here: http://southalabama.edu/departments/ilc/cotl-badging.html
Since we know most of you will have a smartphone or tablet with you, we are piloting the use of a conference app with an eye towards a sustainability (less paper) effort in the ILC.

At Tuesday’s Keynote by Joan Middendorf there will be surprise giveaways - don’t miss it!
