The mission of the Office of Institutional Research (IR) is to conduct research resulting in quality information and analysis to support planning and decision-making across the university. IR also directs efforts to ensure compliance with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and provides timely and accurate information to fulfill institutional reporting requirements of federal, state, and private agencies.
In fulfilling this mission, IR prepares reports, spreadsheets, charts, and figures on the University’s students, faculty, facilities, and finances. These data are published in an annual factbook, state and federal required reports, and surveys for national media.
IR receives a number of requests from administrators, faculty, government, media, and other constituents of the University and strives to complete requests in a timely and efficient manner.
