Academic Programs

Academic programs at South Alabama provide a solid foundation to allow students to grow intellectually, economically, and socially. The recent addition of several new academic programs provides greater opportunities for students while improving the quality of health care, safety and economic well-being of the region.

USA is home to the state’s only glass-blowing program, which features a new 5,000-square-foot facility located in the Visual Arts complex. We are also excited about the completion of the Health Sciences Building, a $48 million facility that houses the College of Nursing and the Pat Capps Covey College of Allied Health Professions. Additionally, the recently completed Shelby Hall Engineering and Computing Sciences Building offers a new, high-tech home to the College of Engineering and the School of Computing.
