Associate Dean Named to International Board

Dr. Krista Harrell, associate dean of students and Title IX coordinator at the University of South Alabama, has been named member-at-large for the Association of College Unions International, which is an organization made up of college unions and student activities professionals.
Harrell, who supervises Student Center services and the Office of Student Activities, is looking forward to representing South on an international level.
“I am humbled to serve my Association on the ACUI Board of Trustees with a focus of continuing to lead the Association by shaping the vision based on our core values, which will guide us into the next century,” Harrell said. “It is exciting to represent South Alabama on an international leadership level and bring back the most innovative student union practices.”
Harrell said the ACUI is committed to becoming the innovative, responsive and inclusive leader in creating progressive education, training and research in college unions and student activities, to excel in meeting member needs, impacting student learning and enhancing campus communities.
