Kristy Britt, senior instructor of foreign languages and literatures at the University of South Alabama, has been named recipient of the 2015 Outstanding Foreign Language Teacher Post-Secondary Award by the Alabama Association of Foreign Language Teachers.
The award recognizes Britt’s instruction methods inside the classroom. She received the award during a luncheon at the AAFLT statewide conference held last month at Auburn University at Montgomery. Britt also presented a workshop during the conference.
Britt, a USA graduate, received a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish and English in 1991. She earned a master’s degree in Spanish from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 1999. She currently teaches introductory and intermediate Spanish courses at USA.
AAFLT’s annual Outstanding Teacher Post-Secondary Award nominees exemplify excellence in foreign language teaching, evidence of promotion of foreign languages, and participation in Alabama Association of Foreign Language Teachers.
