CITI Conflict Of Interest Training
The Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) program is available to meet PHS agencies and other applicable granting agencies/foundation requirement to meet financial conflict of interest training – see complete list.
If you do not have a CITI account you will need to create a user account via the CITI registration page. Once you have registered, please log in to your CITI Program account and click on "Add a course or update your learner groups for “University of South Alabama". Select the Conflict of Interest course. In order to ensure that the integrity of the online training is not compromised, you will be asked to certify that you will complete the course in good faith (i.e., you are not taking it for someone else who needs to complete the requirement, and you have not asked someone else to take it for you). Once you have completed the course, a record of your completion will be automatically transmitted to the Office for Research Compliance and Assurance for maintenance in our database.
Please be reminded all principal investigators that have a current active PHS award or applicable non-PHS award as identified in the list above must complete the training requirement before August 24, 2012. In addition to the Principal Investigator, Co-Investigator, identified senior/key personnel responsible for the design, conduct or reporting of the research must complete training. Senior/key personnel who have the authority to make independent decisions about the direction of the research and the subsequent conclusions about the results are required to adhere to the new PHS Financial Conflict of Interest regulations, including completion of training.
