In September 2016, Cristin joined the University of South Alabama (USA) as Senior Special Events Coordinator for the newly formed Special Events department. In this role, she focuses exclusively on the Mitchell Cancer Institute (MCI) community awareness and development events. Prior to joining USA, Cristin worked for SMG Mobile for six years and managed events at the Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center, Mobile Civic Center, and Saenger Theatre. During her time with SMG Mobile, Cristin managed events such as the Airbus USA Announcement, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Jerry Seinfeld Live, USA Boxing Olympic Trials, the Alabama Farmer's Federation Annual Meeting, and numerous conventions. Her long-time local clients included Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, Reese's Senior Bowl, Mobile Ballet, Mobile Carnival Association, Mobile Boat Show, Austal USA, and the University of Mobile. Cristin also has three years’ experience working with the Greater Gulf State Fair where she was responsible for securing vendors and organizing contests during the annual Fair. Cristin holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Spring Hill College. When Cristin is not planning events for MCI, she is spending time with her husband and two kids. She enjoys baking, crafting, playing disc golf, and running.
