Giving Opportunities
 
There are many places within the University of South Alabama that you can designate your contribution. Listed below are priorities of the University. You may also call the University Development Office and we would be more than happy to help you identify an area particular to you that you may wish to contribute.
 
Student Scholarships

Scholarships exist in almost every college and department at USA . Contributions are used to increase the principal of the scholarship. Awards are based on a percent method - 5% of the gross net assets are available to be awarded.

Memorial and Honorary Gifts

Many supporters of USA derive great satisfaction by making gifts in memory or in honor of loved ones, family members, friends, faculty members, classmates or those who in some way have left an indelible impression. Contributions can be designated to any part of the University and are a great way to celebrate any occasion - a birthday, anniversary, graduation, or holiday.

The University of South Alabama gratefully accepts honor and memory gifts for individuals, groups or organizations, and treats each gift with special attention. When an honor or memorial gift is received, a special card is sent from the University. The amount of the contribution is never revealed. The donor also receives a letter of acknowledgment.

Families or groups may choose to designate gifts for scholarships or other projects. Our staff would be happy to explore these options with you.

 
Student Giving
The University is constantly working to benefit its students. Two major projects currently being planned are the Bell Tower Complex, which will serve as a monument honoring alumni past, present, and future, and a new Student Recreation Center. If you are presently enrolled at the University of South Alabama and wish to get involved with Student Giving, please contact our office.
