The Mobile chapter of Compassionate Friends, a local group who assists families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child, recently purchased "On Wings of Forever" for USA Children's and Women's Sculpture Park. The chapter chose the sculpture because of the symbolism of the butterflies and a child's life.

 
Mr. and Mrs. Greg Saad recently made a generous contribution to the USA Mitchell Cancer Institute. In recognition of their gift, the vestibule in the main lobby area will be named in honor of his parents John Elias and Dorothy Sturges Saad.
 
Captain Allen Graham was the first USA graduate to be killed in Vietnam and at his death, his wife had a tree planted in the atrium area of the Student Center and established the Captain Allen Graham Memorial Scholarship, which is annually awarded to a student in need of financial support.
 
Dr. Steven Stokes and his wife Angelia, have made it a practice to give back to their community and to the University where Dr. Stokes received his medical degree and Angelia received an undergraduate degree in business. They established the Angelia and Steve Stokes Scholarship in Fiction and Poetry to show the couple's appreciation to USA .
