Christopher Peck is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dramatic Arts at the University of South Alabama. He teaches and oversees the Introduction to Drama courses as well as directing in the department’s main stage rotation. He holds an MFA in Directing from Baylor University and a BFA in Theatre from Abilene Christian University. His directing credits include All My Sons, Hecuba, Circle Mirror Transformation, Aftermath (World Premiere), Much Ado About Nothing (Co-Director), and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella.
Before coming to USA, Christopher taught Theatre Appreciation and Acting for Non-Majors at Baylor University and also served as an Assistant Director at the Berkshire Theatre Festival in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.
As a scholar, Christopher has published multiple performance reviews with the Texas Theatre Journal and has presented his work at the Southeastern Theatre Conference, SETC Theatre Symposium, and the Mid America Theatre Conference.
Christopher was recently elected to serve as the College and University Division Vice-Chair for the Alabama Conference of Theatre. He is also a co-founder of the Makalani Theatre Ensemble which is scheduled to debut their inaugural production in Mobile, Alabama in June 2014.
