Constance (Connie) R. Smith became the Scene Shop Foreman for Theatre USA in 2001. She has designed the scenery for main stage Theatre USA productions such as The Laramie Project, Alice in Wonderland, Bobrauschenbergamerica, and Buried Child. She holds a B.F.A. in Theatrical Design & Technology from Auburn University, and a MS in Recreational Therapy from the University of South Alabama. Constance also teaches Introduction to Drama as adjunct faculty.

In addition to her university work, Constance also designs scenery for local theatres, is a member of the Board of Directors for BAI Community Action Alliance (www.bayareainclusion.org)., and serves as the onsite Job Contact Services Co-ordinator under April J’Callahan Marshall for the South Eastern Theatre Conference (www.setc.org).
