May has arrived and with it another end of the semester. A number of our students are leaving us to work, attend graduate school, or spend one last summer on the beach before starting the job search. We’re working to curb the enthusiasm for the last alternative but ingrained habits die hard.

Hello, I'm Emma Fairbanks. I moved to Mobile four years ago from Edmond, Oklahoma to attend the University of South Alabama. In May, I graduated summa cum laude from the Mitchell College of Business with a Human Resource (HR) management concentration.

Coastal Venture Competition Awards over $12,000 to Entrepreneurs

The Melton Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (MCEI) hosted the inaugural Coastal Venture Competition on April 7, 2017. During the weeks leading up to the event, nineteen videos were submitted resulting in thirteen qualified entrants.
